How does it work?
It's easy!
Stage 1 - About your car
We first need to know some basic details about your car so we can give you an accurate valuation. Enter your car's registration into our simple online valuation wizard, tell us your current mileage, service history tax and MOT details. Give us an honest assessment of your car's condition. Record any optional extras that your car has fitted.
We take all of this into account and email you with our valuation and details of how you can sell your car to webcarbuyers.com. Please note all valuations are subject to view.
Stage 2 - Viewing your car
If you are pleased with your valuation and wish to sell to us, click the "book an appointment for us to view your car" link in your valuation email. If your online appraisal matches our appraisal we can then proceed and complete the sale.
Stage 3 - Collection and payment
After arranging a suitable date we will then come and collect the car from you. We will then arrange a same-day payment direct into your bank account. We can also arrange settlement of outstanding finance on your car. Please note that you will need to provide a letter detailing a current settlement figure from your finance company and that the settlement amount will be deducted from the amount paid to you for your car.
When the payment is confirmed to be in your bank account only then will our driver leave with your car.
How can I be sure that I will receive payment?
You will receive a same-day payment direct into your bank account. When the payment is confirmed to be in your bank account only then will our driver leave with your car.
What if my car is financed/lease purchased?
If your car is financed or lease purchased we will be happy to settle these agreements for you as part of the transaction.
Depending on the finance company and due to data protection regulations, you may have to obtain your settlement in writing on our behalf. If you wish to settle the outstanding finance yourself, we will need written confirmation of payment from your finance company prior to us purchasing your car. If you owe more on your finance than the value of the car, we will still be happy to buy the car but you will need to pay us the shortfall when we purchase your car.
I do not have my V5 registration document (logbook)
We are unable to purchase any car without the original V5 document (logbook) as this allows us to check all is in order with your car.
If you do not have one you can obtain a new document by filling in form V62 which you can download from the DVLA or pick up from any Post Office. The completed form and appropriate fee should be sent to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AR.
The V5 registration (logbook) document is not in my name
The V5 (logbook) holds the details of the registered keeper of the vehicle. To prevent fraud, we will only purchase a vehicle from you if it is your name on the V5. If you are wishing to sell your car and there is a legitimate reason why you are not the registered keeper, please email customerservices@webcarbuyers.com with full details and we'll do our best to help.
What does 'subject to view' mean?
Valuations issued from webcarbuyers.com are subject to viewing the car and should not be construed as a contract. The condition of your vehicle must be confirmed by a member of our valuations team prior to purchase.
Will I receive a fair price for my car?
When we value your car we take many factors into account. We do not give an automated electronic valuation; all our valuations are carried out by a team of experienced valuers, who have up to the minute information on the true prices that cars are currently achieving in the market place. This, coupled with the information that you supply we can guarantee you will receive a fair price for your car.
